Is O Meu Concelho an independent project?
Yes. It is an independent project for information and territorial data, without party or institutional affiliation. It does not represent any municipality or state body.
Where does the information come from?
From official and public sources of each municipality: websites and agendas of municipal councils, news feeds, public contracts and procurement platforms, civil protection bulletins and meteorological services. Each piece of content indicates its origin.
What official sources and APIs do you use?
Among others, IPMA weather, data and public procurement portals, and the official sources of each municipality. For culture, we use points of interest provided by the municipalities themselves.
How often is it updated?
Live. Data is collected automatically throughout the day and the "Latest updates" section shows events in chronological order.
Who prepares the publications?
The editorial team of O Meu Concelho. When information comes from an official publication — for example, from a municipal council — that publication serves as a source: the article is written by us and the origin is identified at the end of the piece, with a link to the official text.
Is the portal free?
Yes. Access to all information is open and free.
