O Meu Concelho is a digital ecosystem for information and territorial intelligence in the Alentejo, integrating content, data, media, and services into a common platform, organizing information around its 47 municipalities and bringing people, communities, and the territory closer together.

Open and official data
We collect information from public sources: municipal councils, public procurement, civil protection, and weather forecasting.
Editorial curation
Each piece identifies the sources it is based on and remains under the editorial responsibility of Valdemir Neto.
Custom programming
The platform is built from scratch, featuring automated collection, a management dashboard, and live updates.
Official APIs
We connect to official services and interfaces (for example, IPMA weather data and public data portals) to ensure accuracy.
Transparency
Each piece of content indicates where it comes from. Original texts are identified as content from O Meu Concelho, with the official sources they are based on listed at the end of the piece.
What we do
We aggregate and organize news, cultural agendas, civil protection notices, public contracts, tenders, and weather information for each municipality, with live updates. The goal is to give those who live in the Alentejo — or have ties to the region — a clear and immediate view of what is happening in their territory, without having to browse dozens of different websites.
How it is made
Collection is automated: programmed routines periodically read news feeds, public procurement portals, civil protection bulletins, and weather services. The information is standardized and presented in a uniform manner. Based on this data, the editorial team prepares summary pieces in European Portuguese. Nothing is published without indicating its respective origin.
Technology and sources
The portal is built on custom programming (PHP and a lightweight database), with scheduled tasks for continuous collection. Official sources and APIs include municipal websites and agendas, public contract and tender platforms, civil protection information, and IPMA weather data. For cultural content, we integrate points of interest provided by each municipality.
Coverage
We cover the NUTS III sub-regions of Alto Alentejo, Alentejo Central, Baixo Alentejo, and Alentejo Litoral — a total of 47 municipalities.
